Feeling Listy

I love lists, and use them all of the time. My listmaking has not really translated well to the digital age (out of sight, out of mind) but especially around this time of year you'll find my paper lists scattered around the house. What I am doing today, what I am doing for the week (overview), what to get at the store, what to do while I'm downtown, who to call, deadlines to meet, and now the five-part Christmas list is taking over. That one is a biggie. What to buy, what to send, wrapping paper, when to send, what to bake, where to be, what to do...you get the idea. (And don't think I'm not taking you down with me. No one escapes the list.)

Among all of these lists is the list I am working on of some of the notable books I read this year. I am hoping to post that next week. in the meantime hop on over to Large Hearted Boy's blog where all of the 2011 book lists are aggregated, quite a gift for book lovers at this time of the year.

Whenever I start to feel overwhelmed with too many things to do, I make a list. It helps me feel less stressed when I write it down.

Lists are the bomb, I need to use more of them. As CRS encroaches I'm sure listmania will be in full effect.

Sometimes I make a list and then forget about it. I mean, if I wrote it down it must be done...right? :)

Nice list! I read about ten books a year so I'd love to make more work for you and request a Top Five. :) I do agree with the ones I did read: State of Wonder, The Year We Left Home, A Widow's Story (in particular), Blood Bones Butter, and Townie.
